My interaction style is warm, open, and direct. I work from a Relational, Attachment-oriented perspective in order to help clients develop deeper awareness and find lasting change. My focus in therapy is on relationship patterns and the ways in which we internalize our experiences and often unconsciously recreate them. I will work to help you gain insight into your past while paying attention to the ways it impacts your life in the present. I find moments of humor, creativity, and imagination important components to our connection and welcome them as part of the therapeutic process. I may also include aspects of Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Solution-Focused therapy, and Mindfulness practices to enhance therapy and to help people learn new tools to cope with things they’re struggling with right now.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I also utilize a multicultural framework where the diversity of lived experiences are greatly valued. I strive to create a safe, inclusive space for clients to process issues related to culture, race, sexuality, identity, religion, class, and ability.
